Hi, We have a problem with the new puppy we got

Hi, We have a problem with the new puppy we got. We currently have a 1.5 year old American Staff. and he is the most docile dog I ahve ever met. He has his terrier bursts of uncontrolable energy, btu other than that he is very calm and never show agression. We just brought home a new puppy last week of the same breed. She is 6 months old. Well being the puppy that she is she insists on playing with our older dog, and when he feels like playing they romp around and the only thing I worry too much about with him is him being clumsy and falling on her. But she has taken to biting at his face, ears and legs. He has started to get scratch marks on the sids of his face from her puppy teeth and I worry that she is being to rough on him. He has not made any attempt to put her in her place other than some gentle pinning which she easily squirms out of. Should I worry about him being hurt, or will he put a stop to it if she gets to rough for him to handle?

Thanks,

Bill
