I have a 2 year-old miniature poodle (although she's about the size of a large toy poodle) and we've recently got a 4-month-old standard poodle puppy

I have a 2 year-old miniature poodle (although she's about the size of a large toy poodle) and we've recently got a 4-month-old standard poodle puppy.

They seem to get along until the puppy will try to play with the older, smaller dog. The puppy will snap and bark at the older dog in a playful way, and the older dog takes it as a threat and goes all-out to get the puppy to be submissive by growling, snarling, chasing, and snapping back. The puppy continues to taunt the smaller dog because it thinks that the smaller dog is playing when she is obviously not.

Help PLEASE!!!! We keep thinking that the older, smaller dog will get the point across that she is the alpha dog in this home- but the puppy thinks she's playing!!!

What should we do? Let it go on?

Help!
