    Erythronium ‘Pagoda’ also known as the Dog-tooth violet has several good forms of white and yellow. Beautifully mottled leaves of shining green and bronze appear in early spring.

    Erythronium revolutum “White Beauty” has white reflexed petals on stiff stems. Clumps of these small hardy plants are among the most desirable early flowers in any garden.

    Anemone nemorosa, the wood anemone, makes an attractive companion plant in cool soil, and arching stems of Solomon’s seal can rise behind, its white lily-of-the-valley flowers extending the season.
