    Overview

Leucojum aestivum, the summer snowflake, thrives in damp water meadows, producing white flowers, marked in green, on long stems. It is at its best naturalized in grass, each plant readily increasing in rich soil. A form “Gravetye Giant”, selected many years ago by William Robinson, is probably the best.
